Schedule Collection Services Through Biotrax
Biotrax testing services provide scheduled local sample pickup for prepared laboratory samples, as well as onsite water collection for applicable water-testing requests in Buffalo and the surrounding Western New York areas.
Use our online appointment system to select the appropriate Biotrax testing services and available appointment window. Email requests are also accepted when online scheduling is not practical or when the request requires additional coordination.

Samples should be ready for transportation when the scheduled pickup window begins. Before booking or before the driver arrives for the local sample pickup, please follow these steps: Confirm the requested testing with Biotrax testing services. Collect samples using the correct materials and procedures. Confirm the required sample amount
Samples should be ready for transportation when the scheduled pickup window begins. Before booking or before the driver arrives for the local sample pickup, please follow these steps: Confirm the requested testing with Biotrax testing services. Collect samples using the correct materials and procedures. Confirm the required sample amount or volume. Label every sample clearly and ensure that the labels match the TRAX order or submission form. Package samples securely to prevent leakage, breakage, or contamination, and maintain the required temperature or condition. Complete the test order or applicable submission paperwork and keep time-sensitive samples within the required holding time. Provide the correct pickup address and onsite contact, including any building-access or receiving instructions. IMPORTANT: Pickup may be delayed or the samples may require further review when they are not ready, correctly identified, adequately packaged, or accompanied by sufficient testing information.

Before pickup: Use the correct sampling materials, follow the established collection procedure, and label each sample with the relevant location or identification. Record the collection

Record the collection date and time, and identify the sampling zone or point when applicable. Protect plates from opening, shifting, or damage, and keep samples under the required transportation condition. Ensure pathogen and quantitative-indicator samples are collected separately when required, and complete the applicable TRAX order or submission form. IMPORTANT: Some environmental samples may have method-specific holding times and transportation requirements. Confirm those requirements before the monitoring event, especially for local sample pickup or onsite water collection.

Indicate whether an NYS ELAP-certified result is necessary and the exact sampling point or location to be assessed. Furthermore, clarify if the sample is related to a customer, regulatory, quality, or internal requirement, and include any access, security, safety, or site-entry instructions. IMPORTANT: The collection location and procedure can significantly influence the interpretation of results. Please note that Biotrax may reach out to you before the appointment to gather additional details necessary for confirming the collection or testing plan, including local sample pickup logistics.
MAKE SURE THE TESTING REQUEST IS DOCUMENTED
Scheduling transportation or local sample pickup for water collection does not automatically create a laboratory test order. Before or shortly after booking, confirm how the testing and sample information will be documented and whether you will utilize Biotrax testing services or onsite water collection.
